Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) traces its origins to 1953 and was declared a Deemed to be University in 1993. It was recognised as an Institution of Eminence by the Government of India in October 2020. MAHE offers programmes across engineering (Manipal Institute of Technology), health sciences and management, and operates additional campuses in Bengaluru, Mangaluru and Jamshedpur, as well as international campuses.
