INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM (IELTS)

There are two versions of the IELTS: the Academic Version and the General Training Version. There is also a separate test offered by the IELTS test partners, called IELTS Life Skills:

• IELTS Academic is intended for those who want to enrol in universities and other institutions of higher education and for professionals such as medical doctors and nurses who want to study or practise in an English-speaking country.
• IELTS General Training is intended for those planning to undertake non-academic training or to gain work experience, or for immigration purposes.
• IELTS Life Skills is intended for those who need to prove their English speaking and listening skills at Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels A1 or B1 and can be used to apply for a ‘family of a settled person’ visa, indefinite leave to remain or citizenship in the UK.

IELTS is accepted by most Australian, British, Canadian and New Zealand academic institutions, by over 3,000 academic institutions in the United States, and by various professional organisations across the world.

PEARSON TEST OF ENGLISH ACADEMIC (PTE)

PTE Academic assesses listening, reading, speaking and writing all via computer in a single 3 hour test session.
During the three-hour test session there will be three main parts to the test: speaking and writing (together), listening and reading. At people’s career, our able trainers have a proven track record of producing remarkable test results.

The exam requires certain tactical manoeuvres. We offer real simulations of the actual test so students are prepared with how the PTE exam works. We provide in-depth practice on par with the difficulty level expected in the exam. There are various test tactics and strategies that our unique courses offer. Our courses are designed to ensure students perform at their very best.

PTE Academic assesses your speaking skills among other skills. You are expected to speak about various complex charts and graphs. You will be taught to deal with these charts in the course here. You will hear excerpts from real-life academic lectures and you need to master the art of paraphrasing these lectures. You will hear a range of accents in the test, from British and American to non-native speakers, so you will be exposed to the type of accents you will encounter in everyday life.

PTE Academic tests your proficiency levels in reading and writing requiring you to deal with multiple-choice questions, fills in blanks, reorders paragraphs in a logical sequence and requires students to have certain command over dealing with vocabulary.

Writing segment of PTE Academic evaluates your writing on parameters such as content, vocabulary used in the essay, organization of the work and grammatical range and accuracy. Our trainers here would be able to help you gain expertise at writing coherent essays.
